There's only one life, it will soon be past
What's done for Christ, alone shall last
And when I die , how happy I shall be
If the lamp of my life
Has been burnt out for Thee..(2) only one life
He who saves his life,will lose it in the end
But he who loses his life for Christ's sake saves it all
For what profit is it, if a man gains the world
And loses his soul and is finally destroyed
A disciple of Christ denies self and forsakes all
Daily takes up his cross, and loves and follows Christ
The fields are ripe, but labourers are few
Who will go or us whom shall I send
